Help James recover!! - Initial $10k goal met!!

James Rusler is one of the most special people you will ever meet. A talented teacher and coach, James was teaching class last week when a student accidentally slipped, missed the pads, and kicked james in the jaw, knocking him unconscious and breaking it. James underwent surgery the same day, and is now recovering. He has a severe concussion, a broken jaw, and his spirit is damaged… but in Muay Thai we keep fighting. He will heal up!!

Use of funds:

3. Cosmetic Procedures Not Covered

4. Lost Wages - cannot work or train

5. Love and support to help a great kid make it though this hard time, and come out better than he was before.

James absolutely loves Muay Thai, and now he will not be able to practice it for months. It seriously breaks my heart, he cant even eat solid food for weeks…. We miss him at the gym, he is a strong, powerful, and positive presence.

James started training at Santa Monica Striking during COVID, at 15 years old. He started fighting as a kid at PKB events then quickly realized he wanted to compete at a higher level, even early on. Last Summer, James was able to spend some time in Thailand where he was able to fight and win against a thai without any gear. He has fought on several promotions in LA and we are looking to get him out there more and hopefully turn him pro, but first he needs to heal.
