Our Mission:
The C'Ville Community is working together to combat COVID-19. As flattening is showing signs of working here, we want to keep that going by ramping up the production and flow of masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to the local medical, restaurant, and service community to protect those on the front lines.
Why Us?
We are a group of UVA students, collaborating with local community leaders like UVA Health, Masks for C'ville, Equip Cville, The Club at Glenmore, Affinity Management, Darden Professors and others to raise funds and navigate broken supply chains with our local and international networks. At a time of many trying to help in various ways, we are pledging our resources to fill a local gap of being able to access some things others cannot, efficiently and relatively quickly. 100% of funds will be used for this purpose and all labor is volunteer. Decisions need to made fast to secure that supply so we need to fundraise to make it reality. By contributing you could make the difference in the health of local Cville heroes and prevent COVID-19 cases from spreading.

During this difficult period, PPE is essential for our community to conquer COVID-19. Many organizations are lacking PPE.
Our highest priority is masks. Where we can find N-95 or medical grade masks we’ll donate those first to the medical community. But things are fast-changing and if they do accept donations at that time we will redirect them to the next highest need like food service or eldercare workers.
When medical grade masks are unavailable we will focus on gloves and non-medical masks with the same distribution hierarchy.
If non-medical masks are not readily available we will dedicate resources to sewing masks here in Cville using material we buy with the donated funds. If we do this we will try first to use volunteer labor, but if we have to pay anyone we will not pay our organizers to sew. We are motivated by goodwill, not money. We want to do help.
Sanitizer is less feasible through international contacts, but if we can purchase it we will do so.
Commitment to Updates:
All proceeds will be put to relief efforts and there will be no compensation of any kind to organizers. The distribution will prioritize organizations in need and high-risk individuals. Given the rapidly changing situation, we’ll provide daily updates here. No donation is too small in this group effort to help our local community. Even a $1-5 donation will provide a mask that may save a life.
