Over the past 5 months, 1.5 million Palestinians have been forced from their homes to the alleged “safe zone” in Rafah, where they now face forced starvation and terror. Over 31,000 Palestinian children and adults have been murdered. We will not sit idly by while our country continues to fund this genocide. On Saturday, March 30th, we will traverse the distance from Gaza City to Rafah - 22 miles - in our own town of Charlottesville, VA. In this embodied practice of solidarity with Palestine, we are raising our prayers for ceasefire, while raising funds to meet the immediate needs of families in Gaza.
The money we raise will go directly to Palestinian families experiencing acute crisis through Operation Olive Branch, as well as to fund the essential work of HEAL Palestine, a NGO with decades of experience supporting children and youth in Gaza.
Please give as much as you are able, and share this GoFundMe page with your friends, family, and networks! If you're in the Charlottesville area, we would love for you to join us in walking or rolling any part of our 22 mile pilgrimage. Register by clicking this link by March 30th.
