Marcell Evan Floyd Scarlett was a young man, only 27 years old, who accomplished so much in so little time. He was a self-taught Software Engineer who had a strong hunger for knowledge. He had great accomplishments such as Comcast, ESPN, Golf Channel, Disney, to being the Senior Web Developer for iNeedTreez and founder of his own company Black Leopard Consulting and Bytes at Night Inc. He also volunteered much of his time to software organizations.
Marcell was also a musician as a child, he played the French horn and dabbled with the Piano.
Marcell had a strong passion for cars, especially foreign cars. In addition to that, we cannot forget his love for music. Marcell was known as "DJ Appleton" at night, working alongside his father Floyd for Krystal Vibes. Marcell loved to travel and wanted to travel the world. He was fortunate enough to travel to St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and Jamaica. His biggest desire was to someday visit Fiji and Dubai.
He showed the world how kind-hearted he was; genuine, and truly a great man . Marcell was always willing to help and support anyone without a doubt. He was very much a family oriented person, and loved his family tremendously. His siblings, his mother and father, his aunts and uncles, grandparents and cousins, and his love for Christabel were always around and a big part of his life. He felt very fortunate to have these people always there for him when he needed them.
Despite all of his great achievements, his greatest achievement in life were his 3 beautiful children: Rubi, Nilani, and Evan. Marcell was the greatest father to them. He loved them tremendously and would have done anything and everything for them. He worked countless hours day and night to provide for his children. He wanted nothing but the best of the best for them. Marcell did many firsts with his kids like show Rubi how to ride a bike, showed the girls how to use chopsticks at his favorite sushi restaurant. He would spend hours playing minecraft, took the family on many trips to Georgia, visited a Volanco in Costa Rica, snuggling and having many movie nights at home. He would also practice karate moves with Rubi, helped Nilani practice speaking Mandarin, French, and Spanish, and would help her with her music for her violin lessons. He also loved to play cars and trucks with Evan, his only son.
Marcell had so much life to look forward to. However, everything changed when Sunday afternoon he disappeared, and was sadly involved in an accident in which he lost his life. His death has affected us all in the worst way possible. Despite the circumstances, I want him to be remembered for being a truly amazing man and father.
What I ask is to find it in your heart to please help and donate. If not for him then for the three kids he is leaving behind. They need all the help they can get in this life-changing moment. They constantly ask when daddy is coming home, and it hurts to tell them daddy is never coming back.
