Turbo’s Lifesaving Operation
Donation protected
Turbo is a 9 year old beautiful blue nose pit who has had his share of tragedy for his lifetime. His first owner/companion passed away in a motorcycle accident when turbo was just shy of 2. He was taken in by his family and lives at home with his uncle Cody (who is the brother to Turbos first owner Tyler) and Cody’s wife Jordan. He was Jordan’s companion when Cody was deployed overseas and kept her company while he was away. Turbo is a big love bug and the snuggliest dog to his family, but also keeps them protected in fear of losing them. Unfortunately now his family is fighting the fear of losing him. Turbo started bleeding when he urinated and defecated and was quickly turning south. Cody and Jordan brought him to Petit Brook where they found that he had low platelet counts but X-Rays looked clear. They took turbo to BEVS where they kept him over night and ultimately found a tumor in his spleen after an ultrasound was done. They said it’s a 50-50 chance this tumor is cancer. If it’s not, this is curative and will fix the problem. If it’s cancer, he will only have 6-9 months with his family. With all of the medical bills they have already paid off for turbos previous surgery last year that was $2,000 on his ear, their care credit is almost maxed out. Before this happened they took out a loan for a home improvement that has already been completed so money is already tight. The deposit for Turbo’s big surgery has already been paid, but now there is more to come. The operation and stay is estimated at $10,000 and the family is desperate to save their baby. Turbo has so much life left in him and has so much love to still receive. Any donation will help, and every share will help. Please pray as we wait for him to get out of surgery and pray it’s not cancer, and that Turbo still has more of his life to live.
