During this difficult time during COVID19, many residents in our community is facing challenges, especially our Cape Verdean Seniors who live alone, and cannot risk to go outside.

Want to join Cape Verdean Association of Boston (CVAB) in making a difference in the Cape Verdean community? CVAB is raising money to to provide dinner to Seniors in our community, 7 days-of-week. Who is CVAB?  This non-profit was formed with a mission to promote the power and the potential of Cape Verdean community. We have a long history of advocating on behalf of the community's needs.

Initially CVAB, previously known as Cape Verdean Community UNIDO, was part of a series of community meetings. These meetings acted as the community's response to the problems it faced at that time. It has since evolved into a vibrant organization, maintained by active and vocal members, and is fueled with a passion and desire to do what ' s best for their community.

Why support CVAB? We have an extraordinary database of clients we serve, and these contain people we consider to be the most vulnerable populations during this time. They include low income immigrant families, undocumented immigrants and the elderly within the Greater Boston area.

Since our local and federal officials declared public health state of emergency,  we have partnered with the Cape Verdean Providers to make sure that the community's basic and medical needs are met during this time of hardship.  

We will be providing for the elderly who live in homes and used to have their meals provided by the elderly centers who are going through hardship during this time. 

We provide daily ethnic dinner to the elderly to limit their exposure to the virus, following CDC guidelines, and keep them from going outside. 

The goal is to provide them dinner until the end of May.
