Unexpected Surgery

A little less than a month ago, Rosa went in to the emergency abdominal pains and what she thought was a uterus prolapse. After testing and scans were done, the attending doctor unfortunately had bad news. The pain she had been experiencing was from a watermelon sized tumor in an ovary.

Because of the size, Rosa has to undergo surgery this week to remove the tumor and have a biopsy done on it to determine wether it is cancerous and if further treatment is needed.

She is blessed to have medical insurance through her employer, however this expense is not only unexpected but also something she was not prepared for.

This week Rosa was informed during her pre-op appointment that the hospital requires a minimum down payment of $1500.00 before proceeding with surgery.

As we all know Rosa is a single mom who works hard to provide for her children. She prides herself on being an independent mama, however this is a time where she is humbly asking for help.

It is incredibly difficult for her to ask for help-- but I know she is surrounded by so many good hearted people who love her and support her.

So it is with a most humble heart that we ask for any type of contribution you can help with. After the down payment is made, she will manage the rest. But for now, this is one hurdle she did not foresee or expect.
