The Mahoney Family
Donation protected
As you may know Jake Mahoney’s wife Heather has been fighting a rare bone marrow disease for some time now. Aplastic anemia is when your bone marrow all but stops producing blood, platelets, and white blood cells. In July she spent a week and a half at UC Davis Med Center undergoing ATGAM, a treatment that was supposed to get her bone marrow producing blood again. Unfortunately, the ATGAM did not work. Now Heather, Jake, Luke, Noah and the family are all back at UC Davis in Sacramento so Heather can undergo a bone marrow transplant. Turns out her sister Arika is a perfect match and will donate the marrow. Following the surgery, Heather will be watched closely and treated at UC Davis Med Center. If all goes well they should be back home in sixty to ninety days. As you can imagine the cost of staying out of town in a hotel and eating out for a family can get quite expensive. If you would like to make a donation to help with the Mahoney’s rising medical costs. Make a donation through this website or you can send your donations to Pyramid Materials, 1475 East Greg Street, Sparks NV, 89431. Attention Tony
