Hallo,

mein Name ist Sofía, ich bin 16 Jahre alt, chilenisch / deutsch und lebe derzeit in Deutschland. Seit ich klein bin, träume ich davon, ein Austauschjahr in den USA zu verbringen. Für mich bedeutet diese Erfahrung sehr viel: Ich möchte mein Englisch verbessern, neue Menschen kennenlernen, eine andere Kultur entdecken und persönlich wie schulisch wachsen.

Leider kann meine Familie die Kosten für dieses Austauschjahr im Moment nicht tragen, aber ich möchte meinen Traum trotzdem nicht aufgeben. Ich glaube fest daran, dass man sich Chancen selbst erarbeiten kann – und deshalb tue ich alles, was in meiner Macht steht, um meinen Teil beizutragen. Jeden Monat arbeite ich als Babysitterin, als Trainerin im Kinderturnen und entwerfe und verkaufe Weihnachtskarten und andere kleine Bastelarbeiten. Alles, was ich verdiene, spare ich für meinen Traum.

Trotz all meiner Bemühungen bleiben die Gesamtkosten des Programms sehr hoch. Deshalb habe ich mich entschieden, diese Kampagne zu starten. Es erfüllt mich mit Hoffnung zu wissen, dass ich diesem Traum vielleicht mit der Unterstützung großzügiger Menschen ein Stück näherkommen kann.

Jede Spende – egal wie klein – macht einen großen Unterschied. Und wenn du nicht spenden kannst, hilft es mir auch schon sehr, diese Kampagne zu teilen.

my name is Sofía. I’m 16 years old, Chilean / German , and currently living in Germany. Since I was little, I have dreamed of spending a school exchange year in the United States. This experience means so much to me: I want to improve my English, meet new people, discover a different culture, and grow both personally and academically.

Unfortunately, my family is not able to afford the costs of this exchange program at the moment, but I don’t want to give up on my dream. I truly believe that opportunities can be created through effort, and that’s why I’m doing everything I can to contribute myself. Every month I work as a babysitter, as a gymnastics coach for young children, and I design and sell Christmas cards and other handmade items. Everything I earn goes directly into my exchange fund.

Even with all my hard work, the total cost of the program is still very high for me. That’s why I decided to start this campaign. It fills me with hope to think that, with the support of generous people, I might get a little closer to making this dream come true.

mi nombre es Sofía, tengo 16 años, soy Chilena / Alemana y actualmente vivo en Alemania. Desde muy pequeña he soñado con la posibilidad de vivir un intercambio escolar en Estados Unidos por un año. Para mí, esta experiencia significa muchísimo: quiero perfeccionar mi inglés, conocer nuevas personas, descubrir otra cultura y crecer tanto personal como académicamente.

Lamentablemente, mi familia en este momento no cuenta con los recursos económicos para poder costear este intercambio, pero aun así no quiero rendirme. Creo profundamente que las oportunidades se construyen, y por eso estoy haciendo todo lo posible para aportar por mi cuenta. Cada mes trabajo como baby sitter, soy entrenadora de gimnasia para niños pequeños y además diseño y vendo tarjetas de Navidad y otras artesanías. Todo lo que gano lo estoy guardando para poder acercarme un poco más a mi sueño.

Sin embargo, aun con todo mi esfuerzo, el costo total del programa sigue siendo muy alto para mí. Por eso decidí crear esta campaña. Me llena de esperanza pensar que, con el apoyo de personas generosas, quizás pueda cumplir este sueño que he perseguido con tanto cariño y dedicación.

Cada aporte, por pequeño que sea, hace una diferencia enorme. Y si no puedes donar, simplemente compartir esta campaña ya me ayuda muchísimo.
