Help Bella Walk Again: Urgent Surgery Needed

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Suzzane. I never imagined I’d be in a position like this, but today I’m asking for your help with something that’s tearing me apart.

A few months ago, I adopted a little cat named Bella. She was abandoned, starving, and terrified, but the moment she curled up in my lap, I knew we had found each other for a reason. She gave me comfort, company, and a kind of emotional support I didn’t even know I needed. I’ve loved her like family since the day she walked into my life.

Then, everything fell apart.

Just a few months ago, Bella was hit by a car. I heard the screech, ran outside, and saw her lying there unable to move. My heart dropped. I scooped her up and rushed her to the emergency vet hospital. After hours of waiting, I was told the worst news I could’ve imagined.

Both of Bella’s back legs are completely shattered. She has complex fractures in her femur bones and a fractured pelvis. Her right hip is dislocated, and the doctors are concerned about nerve damage. She’s also suffering from internal swelling, severe bruising, and early signs of infection that could spread to her bones. They used words like “compound fracture,” “acetabular break,” and “soft tissue trauma” — terms I never thought I’d hear in relation to someone I love.

The surgery Bella needs is complicated and urgent. The doctors told me they’ll need to insert titanium plates and screws to repair the bones. They also need to realign her pelvis and monitor her around the clock for the next few days. Without this surgery, she may lose both legs — or worse. The estimated cost for all of this is over $10,000, and that doesn’t even include the rehab therapy she’ll need afterward to walk again.

Here’s the part that breaks me: I recently lost my job. I’ve been doing everything I can to keep things together, but right now, I just can’t afford the care Bella needs. I’ve sold what I can, maxed out my card, and I’m still falling short. And watching her cry in pain, knowing that help is available but out of reach, is the worst feeling I’ve ever experienced.

I don’t want to give up on her. She’s fought through so much in her life already, and I want to fight for her now but I can’t do it alone.

If you’ve ever loved a pet like family, you’ll understand the pain I’m in. I’m asking from the bottom of my heart: please help me give Bella a second chance. Every single dollar counts. Even if you can’t donate, just sharing this means the world to me.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. I hope it touches your heart the way Bella has touched mine.

With love,
Suzzane
