Support Julia's House - 'Cut For Care'

I'm raising money to benefit Julia's House.

Julia's House is an award-winning children’s hospice dedicated to bringing comfort and care to families across Wiltshire and Dorset.

Each family that is supported is unique and so is the care that is provided. When a family finds out that their child has a very serious medical condition, which is life-limiting or life-threatening, their world falls apart. Julia’s House exists to help those children and their families.

Julia’s House doesn’t receive any government funding and relies entirely on supporters to help fund the critical service provided.

This is a cause that means so much to me. In my 13 years of teaching at Devizes School, Julia's House has provided 'End of Life' care for two students; Joe and Harry. Joe was in my tutor group.

Students at Devizes School have asked if I would cut my hair off. I have agreed if money is raised for this cause. I am calling it 'Cut For Care'.

Here are some examples of what fundraising can help to fund:

£10 - provides baking or craft supplies for a creative and sensory play session for a child and their brothers and sisters

£50 - provides one month’s supply of vital medical equipment used by nurses with the seriously ill children

£250 - provides a three-hour respite care session in the family home to give exhausted parents a break

£1000 - provides more than six months of emotional and practical support for a family, following the devastating loss of their child
