Almost a year ago, my baby boy Eli was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia), and although he is now in remission, anything can happen, we are still fighting everyday... the battle is not over. When Eli was diagnosed, my whole world fell apart, I didn't know where to turn, what help and support I had, but it soon became evident that I had an army behind me, from day 1. My friends, family, our care team, and Candlelighters.  This past year I have met some incredible, and inspirational children and families at Leeds General Infirmary, and although our children have cancer, they are the bravest, most courageous and happiest of children I have ever met. Their bravery, determination and resilience is astonishing.  As part of chemo, like with adults, children (including Eli) lose their hair, and although it grows back, can make children feel very sad, especially little girls. So I've decided to shave off my hair, and donate it, so that it can be made into a wig for a little warrior. I hope it enables a child to feel beautiful, empowered and happy. Although I am going to donate my hair, the donations raised will be sent to Candlelighters, they are the UMBRELLA for us all in Yorkshire, and without them, it would always be raining on us.  So, please if you can donate whatever you can, however little, as it would mean the world to me to be able to continue to support all the families undergoing cancer treatment, and to put a smile on a child's face ❤️ Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
