Chris, a former Essex Police Dog Handler and Richard a retired Chief Officer are on a mission to raise money for a charity dear to their hearts Essex Retired Police Dogs Fund (ERPDF).

Chris & Richard are walking the 96 miles of the West Highland Way from Milngavie near Glasgow to Fort William via Conic Hill, Loch Lomond and Glen Coe.

Chris said "I would like to do the walk on behalf of ERPDF in recognition of the support to RPD Poppy, not just helping to fund her recent operation to surgically remove a mast cell tumour but also the support and advice during a very worrying time in her health."

The start date for the walk is the 19th of March 2026 and the hopeful finish date is the 25th of March 2026.

The money raised will be used towards vet and welfare fees of Essex Retired Police Dogs.
