Curtis's Medical and Funeral expenses
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tracie and I am Curtis Casto's neice. Many of you know, but for those who do not, Curtis lived with severe heart problems, as well as debilitating arthritis, along with diabetes for many years. After internal defibrillators, many ablations and more heart caths than we can count, we reached the critical stage where the only option left to him was an external heart (LVAD). On October 13, he became the only person in the world with Ankylosing spondylitis to have an LVAD placed. He was a pioneer, and he held on as long as he could. Unfortunately, his heart just couldn’t hold out and he couldn’t fight any longer so on January 11, 2022 he went home to be with Jesus. However, because he also had Covid in the weeks before he died, his body could not be donated to science. Between now needing to pay for burial expenses and the medical bills that accumulated from months of being in the hospital, any and all donations are appreciated. Curtis has a damaged heart, but it was the biggest heart of any I have ever known. Please share. Every little bit helps.
