Curtis Williams-Lindsey's Headstone

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jeanna DeMarco and I am coming to you all with a very heavy heart. I am kindly asking family and friends to come together to raise funds to purchase a headstone for our loved one, Curtis. As many of you know, Curtis and I share a beautiful daughter. Ava was his favorite girl, and he loved to support her in all of her endeavors. Sadly, Curtis suffered from a major stroke and passed away on September 20, 2022. We know he is with God, and that he is with us throughout our days. But, it has been very difficult doing this thing we call "life" without Curtis. Many friends and family visit him often and we would like to honor him with a beautiful headstone.

“To being trustworthy? To being successful? How committed are you to being a good father, a good teammate, a good role model? There’s that moment every morning when you look in the mirror: Are you committed, or are you not?” – LeBron James

On August 9, 2009 at 8:35pm, Curtis made the commitment to be the best father to our beautiful baby girl, Ava Gabrielle. Throughout the years, he was also committed to being a wonderful teammate, role model, coworker, friend, brother, and son.

Curtis,
Today is my commitment day… I commit to look in that mirror every morning with trust in the lord that his guidance will enable me to be the best mother to our daughter. I commit to always encourage Ava to be different, protect her, support and comfort her through celebrations and trials. Instill in her that her opportunities in life are endless. I commit to being a good role model to her and to teach her to stand up for what she believes in. I commit to showing her what it means to be trustworthy within her family, relationships, and friendships. I commit to teaching her what true success means. It’s not about designer clothes or how much money you make but that true success will come when you have the courage to be yourself. Curtis you have always encouraged Ava and I to be our true selves and not worry about others’ opinions. We did a wonderful job co-parenting our daughter over the years. Ava just turned 13, and God knows I’ll need your help getting through these teenage years. But, I also know that we have raised the most beautiful daughter together. Not only is she the most beautiful young lady on the outside but she is even more beautiful on the inside, her heart is so pure and kind. We will forever keep you in our hearts and take you with us where ever we go. We love you Curtis and will miss you more than you will ever know.
Jeanna
