January 6th, 2021 We Lost our Father (Curtis LaVaughn Haraway Sr.) to COVID-19. He was a SPECIAL man who touched many lives through his LOVE, CHARISMA, and COMPASSION. We started this GoFundMe because this happened all of the sudden and we wanted to give anyone and everyone an opportunity to help us send this Special Soul off in the Special Way he deserves. If you’ve ever met or known my dad, you knew he was a special man, that would just have this Gravitational Presence of Love, Support, and Understanding. Our Father always put others before himself and was a fighter who’d overcome so many obstacles and struggles. PLEASE HELP US SEND Curtis LaVaughn Haraway Sr. off with the Love and Support of all his friends and family.

Today Heaven didn’t just get another Angel, GOD called a Soldier Home whose mission was to spread Love and Happiness to literally EVERYONE he came in contact with!
Mission accomplished Pop!
All my Pops ever did was EMBRACE anyone and everyone that took the time to speak... he didn’t care if you were a CEO, a Neighbor, or a Janitor, he just took PRIDE in spreading JOY... he has spread sooo much LOVE and CHARISMA, and has brought so many smiles to so many faces!!!
My Pops was and is the WISEST man I’ve ever known! Not college educated but born with an INTELLECT that could challenge an Astronaut... anyone who has ever had a conversation with my Pops can attest he’s probably smarter than their college professor. Teaching me that there’s nothing wrong with challenging people’s logic and that the challenge is NOT just meant for others but to also be an opportunity to see someone else’s POV
My Pops taught me soo much about being a Man, but before that he taught me to be a GOOD HEARTED and EMPATHETIC person 1st. Money has NEVER been important to my father, my mother, or any of my brothers bc FAMILY, LOVE, RESPECT, and COMPASSION is what was truly valuable to my Pops.
My Pops had this PRESENCE, that anytime he stepped foot in a room he would instantly light it up with conversation. Taking anyone on a journey of conversation that would leave them with his memory forever and usually a smile! Even my HS friends little brothers and random neighbors i don’t know that I run into when I come home to visit would ask me about my Pops and how he’s doing... Family and friends that I’ve never met would fly down just to come visit my Dad for a random week... My Pops had a POWERFUL presence with NO ILL WILL, and ONLY LOVE and COMPASSION, and I couldn’t ask for a BETTER, more GOOD HEARTED, CARING, RESPECTABLE, STRONG, INTELLIGENT, and God Loving father.
There is sooo much to be said about a MAN of HIS CAIBER, but I know my father has had a positive influence on sooo many others, so please feel free to share a loving memory you may have had with the Great Man that is Curtis Haraway Sr.
I LOVE YOU POP, God got one of his BEST back today... there is no one who could question that... We will continue to live in the Legacy you and Momma have started! You would always say, “I don’t need money or a 6 figure job, bc when I look at you 5 and Momma, I know God has blessed me and I can die a happy man” I truly hope we made you proud Pop and I Pray you rest peacefully as you watch over us all!
I will miss you sooo much Dad! You have had to fight an uphill battle your whole life, and NEVER got the chance to receive the FULL return on what you have given to this world!
You taught me to be sooo much of what I am today and I will do my best to live up to the Shoes you have left to fill in this world! I know my Brothers and my Mom will have my back on this one and you will be the shield to protect us! LOVE YOU again Pop, this will NOT be the last time you hear from me

There has always been this old saying “Blood is thicker than water” but when it comes to us that saying DON’T MEAN A THING !!!
You was such an intelligent man and I have watched me grow up from a boy to man ! You are the TRUE definition of a FAMILY man ! You always used to tell me “Chris, when people ask how many children I have I say 6 including you” You never knew how much that meant to me for you to consider me as one of your sons !!
I still can’t believe I can’t call or text you and talk about basketball, family and life !!
You are truly a man of GOD, you would walk into a room and just change the whole mood with your spirit and smile!
You are truly an example of what a FATHER is ! You made sure to surround yourself NOT with MONEY but with LOVE, GUIDANCE, and WISDOM !!
It was been so many times you would just sit me down and tell me “Chris, I am so proud of you and the man you have become”
So many times, I would do something wrong or mess up you would always just say “Chris keep your head up and keep fighting”
You always knew the right thing to say at the right time !
I would literally come over and the boys would be gone and I would just kick it with you on the couch and we would just talk about any and everything !!
I will NEVER forgot all the conversation me and you have had and all the advice and guidance you have giving to me !!
