Curtis Erickson's Fight Against Cancer

This is Curtis Erickson and his family. Wife; Katelyn. Sons; Hunter (10) and Tate (6). Daughter; Ivy (2). In early 2023, life for the Erickson family finally began to stabilize after the pandemic. A devoted husband and father who had just accepted a life-changing career opportunity; who passionately coaches youth baseball, puts his family first, and loves his wife fiercely – Curt is one of the good ones. On June 14th, Curt was told that what had started as a stomachache, was in fact a 4x6cm cancerous tumor in his upper right abdomen. Due to the nature of the tumor, the doctors are unable to safely operate to remove it from his body right away and treatment must begin immediately. Curt is beginning aggressive chemotherapy to shrink the tumor – in just one week. Once the tumor has shrunk to a size that is operable, the doctors plan to remove it. What is more, due to the complicated-nature of his cancer, his treatment has been transferred to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. While the Ericksons are grateful for their insurance, it will not begin to cover the medical expenses that they are faced with (already in the thousands, just for his diagnosis) in addition to their household expenses and bills. So, why donate? If you already know Curtis, then no explanation is needed. But if you don’t, here is why: If one word could describe Curt, it would be loyalty. He is loyal to his wife, children, family, and friends. He is always there for people when they need him. He is the guy that pulls over for somebody on the side of the road, even when he doesn’t have time. For once, it is our turn to support Curt. Every dollar earned is one less that this young, beautiful family will stress about. The Ericksons number one priority is ensuring that life remains as normal as possible for their children.
