Curtin Major Film - When Doves Fly

Hi my name is Jennifer Hill and I am the producer of this film. I am fortunate to have won festivals and been screened at Revelations and Adelaide Film Festival for a first year Curtin experimental film, and been selected for Global Indie Fest for an indigenous TV series in second year. I have a very talented Director Mike Roberts and a wonderful team.

This campaign is to raise funds to shoot a pilot in May 2022 and the final short film between August and September in 2022 for final year film & tv students at Curtin University. We have a wonderfully talented team and are asking your support to help fund our film as we basically have no budget! We have an amazing script and many people who want to help, I managed to get a free Transperth Bus for the pilot and we need your help.

 

Synopsis

Dove is a teenage girl whose naivety takes over when her parents are to divorce. With a plan to catch a bus to an airport and then flee to Melbourne to pursue a future in music, she is accompanied by her optimistic inner voice. She’s full of dreams and aspirations that don’t match reality. On her journey, she interacts with series of strangers in different situations. Through these experiences, Dove ​will reflect on her ambitious dreams and reality.

 

Fundraising

We will take as little as $20 up to as much as you feel comfortable investing.
