I hope this message finds you well. About four years ago, Curt Wagner was diagnosed with early symptoms of macular degeneration, and over time, his vision has continued to decline. Despite undergoing multiple eye injections, he is now legally blind in both eyes and struggles with a cornea issue that has compounded his condition. As a result, his ability to work has been significantly hampered and is facing increasing challenges in managing daily tasks.

The good news is after applying for disability benefits more than a year ago he has been granted disability benefits and will receive his first monthly payment starting in May. That will go a long way to supporting his family, the mortgage… This was a much longer, arduous process than anyone would have anticipated. Just when he thought it was settled there were more doctor visits in faraway places and more hoops to jump through. Needless to say, since Curt has been unable to work, for more than a year many of the bills are in arrears.
