Curry Family Toxic Mold Damage
My sister Diana, brother-in-law, and nephew have been living in and affected by various toxic mold and bacteria due to water damage that was covered up and left unattended to. As most of you know, Larry has served over twenty years in the Army and they currently live in military housing. They have lived there for over two years and in that time, they have noticed their health quickly and severely decline.
Diana first noticed the water damage and extent of the mold in the home a few weeks ago. The third party privatized housing maintenance and contractors came out and essentially painted and patched over the walls, carpets and ceiling. Diana and Larry asked for a mold test to be done and were denied. Knowing it was more than was being lead on, they hired a private organization that specializes in mold inspections and paid $2000 to have their home tested. The findings were devastating and they were immediately evacuated out of their home. The laboratory that did their assessment informed them that the mold and bacteria found in their home is so dangerous that it can affect their family's respiratory, neurological, physical, mental, and cognitive health and even alter and damage DNA. Among a great deal of symptoms, Diana has had chronic migraines for months and is currently being assessed for memory loss and issues involved with her brain and nervous system. Larry has been diagnosed with a concerning number of medical findings, the entire family is currently experiencing high levels of anxiety, lack of focus, brain fog, pain, and respiratory issues.
Additionally, they just lost their beloved dog, Buddy to cancer that spread rapidly in December right before Christmas. With the findings from the analysis done, Diana was told Buddy's death was 100% associated by the toxic mold in their home.
Every item in their home including all their furniture, clothing, and even food has been contaminated. They are now left with having to retire from over 20+ years of military service with essentially nothing but deteriorating health and uninhabitable property. If able, I ask in behalf of them, to consider donating even a small amount and if you can't donate, please share. Thank you.
