Currently out of work and financially devastated

Hi, I am Bill, Navy Veteran, self employed IT Tech, family oriented.

We have had an extremely tough year and finally are to the point of needing some outside assistance. My wife underwent a second round of radiation therapy for stage 3 Breast Cancer. While she was gone I supported 2 homes, even though she was working out of state. We got behind as bills began piling up.

In June, while entering a work site, my left knee gave out. After a brief visit to the doctors clinic it was determined my meniscus on my left knee is torn and will require surgery. I wore a brace and continued to work to provide for our needs.

My wife returned home to me and her employment out of state. This ended around 6 months ago. There has been no luck of a job for her since then.

On Dec 17th was outside decorating and while I was roughly 15ft in the air, the ladder gave way. After visiting ER it was found that my right ankle was broken in 3 places and had 2 ligaments damaged. I underwent surgery on Jan 2nd to insert plate, 2 screws and repair ligaments.

I had a really nice month lined up for work but unfortunately I no longer have that.

I am not one to lean on others for help but I don't know where to turn.

My family needs this money for rent, utilities, groceries, cancer meds and other expenses. I am trying not to relocate in the middle of all of this due to not being able to make rent. Anything would be greatly appreciated as this is a short term situation. My expenses are actually higher than what I am asking and i am hoping to be back at work within the next 2 months. 

I have been trying every day to work with utility companies, seeking other forms of assistance, veterans help and still not getting anywhere due to delays and in most cases because ot is a self-employed situation they simply can't help. 

  This is extremely hard on me being the provider and not hearing solutions to the shortfall of funds. I know this is short term so this is a mercy call for any help. Thank you in advance for any assistance that you may be able to provide.
