Curling for a Cause: Supporting Suicide Prevention

Bozeman Curling Club recently lost two friends (and curlers) to suicide. While we unfortunately can not bring our friends back, we can help others in similar situations.
We are partnering with Suffer Out Loud, a Montana-based, nonprofit organization focused on reducing suicide rates and shifting the stigma around mental health.
Montana has had one of the highest suicide rates in the nation for more than forty years, with rates that are consistently more than double the national average. Many of the leading risk factors—social isolation, limited access to care, and stigma—are part of everyday life here.
For each $150 of donations made through the Bozeman Curling Club fundraiser, someone in need will be able to receive mental health counseling through Suffer Out Loud's scholarship program.
Also, Bozeman Curling Club is hosting a Charity Learn to Curl event on November 29, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Haynes Pavilion (Gallatin County Fairgrounds), at which we will also accept donations on behalf of Suffer Out Loud.
All donations received will go directly to Suffer Out Loud.
