Curiosity Almost Killed The Cat: Loki
Donation protected
Imagine for a moment that you turn around for ten minutes and in those ten minutes, the balcony door has been jimmied open and your cat has fallen off the balcony from the 9th floor. Actually, don't imagine it. I lived it for you. This is a trauma I'm already familiar with, unfortunately.
My Loki is currently in surgery as I'm writing this, because surprise, he did survive the five-story fall from my balcony down below. I didn't imagine I'd find him huddled against a stranger's balcony door in the snow, but I did, and I've never been so happy to hold him. I've never been so happy to see someone, and I think it's the same for him, because he wobbled toward me the second he saw my face.
As a general rule, I hate asking for help. I hate asking for help, but I need help today, because Loki, my trickster, my probably has a raccoon as an ancestor rascal, is in surgery getting his hip pushed into place and a fractured tailbone pulled out of him after surviving an absolute miracle fall, and the fees -- are staggering, to be honest. But I said go ahead, please fix him, please fix this tiny love of my life. 2020 does not get to do this to me, not again.

This is me doing something I hate for someone I love so much, and if nothing else, thank you for at least reading. Thank you to anyone who gives even a dollar so that I can make sure he can come home to me.
