Robert's Battle Against Oral Cancer
Donation protected

My father Robert has been fighting oral cavity cancer for 6 months now. We just found out that the cancer has come back stage 4 and that he only will have 6 months to a year to live unless we fight. If he chooses to go through with surgery, he will lose his toungue, taste, and ability to eat and this procedure only has a 30% chance of curing the cancer. Our options are limited and Robert feels like there is a better option.
We are looking at Eastern and Western medicine and searching for the best cure we can find that is the most comfortable for him. We are looking at holistic ways, and less harmful and more comfortable ways for him to be cured. It is very expensive and health insurance does not cover these treatments. That's why we need your help.
Robert is a loving father and husband to my mom. He is loved dearly by his family and friends and puts sunshine in any room he enters. He is always the life of the party and is the most positive person I know. I can't imagine this family without him. He is dearly loved.
He went to UCLA and played on the water polo team and was on swim team. He still enjoys watching his UCLA football team play. He also was a pilot in the Air Force and went to Vietnam (Agent Orange) . He flew a C130 and dropped food and supplies to our soldiers. He has a huge heart .
His passion in sports are/were playing golf, skiing, martial arts, running 10k's, swimming, surfing, and flying planes. How does someone so active get cancer?
I truly appreciate any contributions to us for our fight of this awful cancer. I wouldn't wish this upon anyone. Thank you for all the support and love.
God bless you all,
Christen
