Dear World, I’m Whittney Jade Powell the only child of a terminally sick mother. My mum Maria Powel has had cancer since 2015, but was consistently misdiagnosed until a few weeks ago when we found out she has Cancer of the lungs and bones. I need to raise a minimum of £120,000 so I can care for my mum using potentially lifesaving holistic treatment.
Here’s is a timeline of my mum’s health…
• Right Shoulder
• MRI Scan December 2015 Ealing Hospital
• Result MRI Scan – (Supraspin, Tendoatusnitis and slight Arthritis)
• Treatment plan – Rest, physio, Hydro, hot and cold compression.
• Signed off work from January – by November 2016. Unable to return so ended contract.
• Left Shoulder
• January 2017 started to hurt and when analysed they assumed it was the same problem as the right shoulder. • The treatment offer was relatively the same as the right shoulder.
• The pain was more intense and was more of a spasms and parylsasing sensation feeling worst and worst.
• With persistence of the pain and doing part of the treatment plan she was finally referred in May for physio.
• July 2017 she done the Assessment (consultation) physio and the therapist referred her for another MRI scan Due to the intense levels of pain and discomfort she noticed mum was in struggling to do the basic movement.

• September 10th 2017 MRI Scan Northwick Park After waiting 10 days for the results, the 20th September came and went, with my mum continually chasing her results. We waited a further 15 days, but on the 5th of October the results were Inconclusive.
➢ My mum was referred for an X-ray at Middlesex hospital on October 5th. – The Standing doctor for our GP explained worst case scenario it could be cancer in your lungs and bones.
➢ We attended the Medical Thoracic Clinic for a scan (Throat Clinic) 13th October 2017 The doctors informed us that they strongly believed that my mum had Cancer of the lung and bone and the pain. They also said the pain she has been feeling all these years on her right shoulder was because her lymph nodes were up which is an indication of cancer of the Lung.

➢ 25th Head Scan
➢ It was on 27th October when they confirmed via the scan, the full results, including the type of cancer, locations, stage and treatment plans. The Consultant explained that my mum was misdiagnosed back in 2015 when she had the original MRI scan it was never reported to GP or other liaison consultation.
➢ Three of the four blood tests test my mum had been referred to do had been done this year, and they claim it hasn’t shown signs of cancer and when they needed to confirm the cancer status, they claim it didn’t show up. Yet these are the same test which reaffirmed the scan results and other test carried out give accuracy of results.
Results : Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma of the lung 5.5 cm tumour Cancer of the bone and lymph nodes Treatment is pallative care.
For the past 4-6 weeks my aunt and I have been researching diets and alternative treatment (cure) because there are 1000’s of online testimonials of people which was in my mum’s position and worst who had cured themselves through alkaline (vegan) diet and cannabis oil.
Why I Need Your Support:
My mum is such a caring person she has always done a selfless job helping vulnerable people such as Support worker rehabilitating offenders back into the community, home carer for the elderly and fostering.
My mum is a single mother and raised me with the support of my family, but weathered the storm of parenthood alone. I will always be indebted to my mum and the sacrifice she made raising me, because without the tool and mind-set she instilled in me I wouldn’t be where Iam today in my career, personal life and heart.
I need the power of the people, the community, local businesses and neighbours to support us on this journey because my mother has done so much for the community for her whole working life.
She is now vulnerable and needs us to come together and help us give her the best fighting chance to beat this disease and get justice.
What We Need:
We need funding for cannabis oil, organic fruit, vegetables and other groceries. Bills, travel, flights and accommodation. With the research I’ve been doing my mum needs to go aboard to destinations that have legalised cannabis and will allow my mum to get the healing properties she needs in order to heal and give her the maximum chance of survival.
