CURE FOR DIEGO!
Come join us on October 1, 2016, for a fundraising event in the name of Diego and his battle to treat/cure Progeria. The Fairview Police Department has joined forces with VIP Fitness in an exercise challenge to raise funding for his treatment toward a cure.
You will pick an exercise that you would like to participate in and you can sponsor yourself or find friends, family, or businesses to sponsor you in your event. Remember the more committed sponsors the more money you can help raise. The choice of exercises will be pushups, burpees, or squats. You will perform as many reps as possible for 1 minute. For example: You pledge $1.00 per rep and you perform 50 reps = $50 donation. We ask that you all share this event on your social media pages to gather more attention....maybe even grab a friend to participate with you. If you are not the exercising type you can always make a straight up donation or sponsor a participant.

Diego's Story: Diego Estrada suffers from a rare disease called Progeria (Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome), which is a rare genetic disorder. Diego is a 6 year old 2nd grade student who lives in Fairview, NJ. Diego was diagnosed early on and has been under treatments for the past few years. Diego is currently under care of doctors and travels to Boston for experimental treatments. Help the Fairview Police Department and VIP Group Fitness support Diego in his quest to a longer and healthier life. Funds will assist Diego and his family to off-set costs of his treatments.
Progeria causes children to age rapidly. There are an estimated 350-400 children living with Progeria worldwide in 52 countries according to progeriaresearch.org and it affects both sexes and all races. For more information on Progeria please visit www.progeriaresearch.org
