Cure malformed eyes in 5 kittens, GRAPHIC pic!

Please help our 5 kittens. They are in extreme pain with every blink of their eyes. These sweet babies need extensive surgery to repair their eyes. This surgery will completely alleviate their pain and suffering! Their mother was starving while pregnant and this caused all of the kittens to have malformed eyes.

The Vet Vision doctor explained she sees this exclusively in malnourished community cats. Something goes wrong during growth and development in utero. Left untreated they could also experience ruptured eyeballs, ulcers, infections, and/or go blind. However, the two staged eyelid graft surgery will prevent any further damage.

The good news is all the kittens still have vision in both eyes (except Willie - he needs his one eye removed that burst from an abscess when he was only days old). With this surgery, and after healing, the kittens will no longer need eye ointment twice a day and they will all be pain free, from their mal-formed eyes, for the rest of their lives.

Willie will be getting his right eye removed for an abscessed/ruptured eyeball. The left eye will have eyelid surgery for agenesis which will prevent further scratching of the cornea from the fur growing downward towards the eye where he doesn’t have a completely formed eyelid for protection. This condition is very painful! The surgery involves a 2-staged eyelid graft.

Cloud, Ninja and Sampson also suffer from agenesis. Their upper eyelids did not completely form which causes the fur to grow directly towards the eyeball, scraping it with every blink, causing extreme pain. Their surgery also involves a 2-staged eyelid graft.

Velcro’s condition requires that her eyelashes be removed. She does not require grafting of her eyelids.

Costs:

The total as listed on the estimates is $5,595.00.

Willie: $1,375.00.

Cloud, Ninja and Sampson: $1,125.00 each.

Velcro: $845.
