Cure Kobe's Cancer

Hello!

I'm Clarissa and Family, and this is our good boy Kobe.

Kobe was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) at the young age of 4 years old. We did not see this coming. We were aware of the medical complications that could have come with his large breed but we didn't think we would be fighting cancer so early on in his life. This has shaken our family and we want to fight with Kobe to beat his cancer. Our doctors believe Kobe can fight this and we do too, we just need some help.

The plan for recovery for Kobe is leg amputation and chemotherapy. Luckily we did chest x-rays and they didn't find any lesions in his lungs (amazing news for us) so we are hopeful that Kobe can pull through. We are doing our best as a family to collect the funds needed for his surgery, chemotherapy, and for what follows after (more appointments and medicine), but after doing the calculations we realized we needed to pull together $15,000 in order to help cure Kobe's cancer. We are hoping that we can fundraise at least half of his treatment so it can be a bit more manageable for my family and me.

We are grateful for every form of support, whether it's just sharing this gofundme or donating. Anything helps even $1! We welcome you to share Kobe's story with your friends and family so that with all of this support we can help cure Kobe's Cancer.

We thank you in advance for your kindness and support!

Kobe's Cancer Discovery Story:
Kobe jumped off the couch one day and started crying, from then on he started putting less pressure on his paw and limping. We thought he hurt his front right paw and so did the first veterinaries we went to see. They prescribed him some medicine which then caused him to have a stomach ulcer. We took him back and they treated the stomach ulcer but then disregarded the pain he was having in his paw. After he recovered from his ulcer I decided to take him to another vet for a second opinion. There they did x-rays and told us it was either an infection or cancer. They referred us to an oncologist in Mississauga who confirmed it was osteosarcoma.
