Sazi is a playful, energetic cat who is full of mischievous fun. I have had her since she was 6 weeks old. She was a rescue from the MSPCA. Even though she had a tough start, she managed to be a good-natured, albeit spicy, companion.
She started to lose weight a few months ago, and despite feeding her more, she couldn't seem to gain weight. I took her to the vet, and she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Outside of this, she is in perfect health. She would greatly benefit from a radioiodine injection. That is a one-time shot that will completely cure her. It has low side effects, unlike putting her on anti-thyroid medication. Anti-thyroid medications, when used long-term, have side effects like kidney damage. Also, anti-thyroid medications do not cure the disease; they only treat symptoms, and doses have to be increased as the disease worsens.
Her diagnosis was very unexpected, but with the proper treatment, she can have a full recovery. I know she is just a cat, but she has been a great emotional support pet. So I am asking for help in covering her medical bills. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ❤️
