Christie is a loving and free spirit who goes through life never meeting a stranger. She has a beautiful smile that lights up any room. Her and her husband Ed have spent years helping others in need in their community and beyond. While working hard to be her best self, Christie began to have shortness of breath and wheezing. After a multitude of tests she was told the unimaginable, she was diagnosed with a rare and fast growing lung cancer. Her cancer is so rare that all of her treatments are being done at Duke University. Her treatments are 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. She is currently unable to work and Ed will also be taking as much time as needed with Christie. They are in need of funds for help with travel, parking, lodging, nourishment and medical expenses.
