Cure for Carrie

For those of you who don’t know Carrie, she is a loving and devoted mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Ontop of this, she is one of the best oncology nurses I know. Carrie has changed and saved so many patients lives during the most pivotal time of a cancer diagnosis. Carrie is one of the most selfless, kind hearted and hilarious people I am honored enough to call my friend.

After many, many years of caring for oncology patients, Carrie now needs our help to care for her. I can’t believe I actually am writing these words but here we go…

Carrie unfortunately was recently diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She will need to take on chemotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery and possibly radiation. All of this was set to start next week when another unexpected curveball hit. Due to some headaches Carrie was having, they did a few scans to ensure everything was okay before starting chemo. We now have learned that she has a mass in her brain that will require brain surgery before she can start the chemotherapy. We are hopeful this is just an incidental finding but nonetheless still an absolute shock which will keep her out of work even longer.

Having to worry about any financial burden is the last thing Carrie needs to worry about. However, if you know Carrie, you know she works her butt off and never stops working so she can provide for her 2 kids. All of the money donated will be going directly to Carrie to help her family while she is out of work for an unknown duration of time and pay for any medical expenses.

No donation is too big or small to help out one of the brightest lights in this world.
