“I thank God that He knows who we need in our lives to get through the battles.”
This was a text I recently received from my amazing friend, Cami, who has been fighting for her life in a battle against breast cancer for the past two years. As I write today (10/15/20), Cami has just recently been admitted into the hospital for complications that doctors are wrestling to find the cause and cure for. Visits to hospitals and unanswered questions have become a way of life for her over the past two years, and I am constantly amazed by her responses.
Can I just share a quick synopsis of who Cami is? She is honestly one of the most positive, upbeat, hardworking, committed, loyal, honest-to-goodness, good to the core people out there. She is a devoted, loving wife and mother of four beautiful children. Throughout this fight, her trust and faith in God has not been shaken, and in spite of the innumerable curveballs thrown her way throughout this process, her spirit remains indomitable!
Cami, who had worked for many years in the medical field, was let go from her job during this time, and her husband, who tirelessly worked hour upon hour of overtime in order to make up for that loss, has been significantly affected in his work hours due to the coronavirus pandemic. They are in dire need of financial assistance during this time, as this battle is far from over and they face payments for out-of-pocket therapy payments, prescription costs, medical copays, deductibles, and upcoming surgery costs.
I don’t believe you are reading this simply because a friend sent you a link or you happened to stumble upon it. I agree with Cami that God knows who she needs in her life to get her through the battles, and perhaps that person is you! It is often said that any gift, large or small, would be so greatly appreciated, but Cami would never look at any gift and see it as “small.” No matter the amount, any donation you make will be large in Cami’s eyes, and she and her family will treasure your generosity in their hearts always.
Thank you for reading this, and know that by visiting here, you have become part of a collective group that we are praying for to experience God’s best for your life. Times are difficult right now, but take heart in the fact that there is a God who knows who you need in your life to get through the battles.
