Cumberland Rag Rugs

Hi,

We are three creative women living in Cumbria who want to share the skills and joys of making rag rugs. This is a traditional craft which can be used in any number of new and creative ways, enabling anyone to recycle clothes into beautiful rugs and wall hangings.

We are going to put on an exhibition of local rug makers at the Dacre Hall, Lanercost in September. We will be running workshops alongside the exhibition - kindly supported by the Hadfield Trust - and are looking to raise the other costs of the exhibition (hire of the venue, lighting etc)

Whatever you are able to give will enable us to share the creative possibilities of this very eco friendly way of making your home beautiful.
