Hi, my name is Sara Dean and I am raising money for the Culver City High School Marching Band! I know nothing about bands, marching or otherwise, but I noticed at recent football games that one of the two Drum Majors uses a ladder instead of a safe platform to lead at halftime. As a mom, it made me nervous so I started looking into costs for a new one. They cost about $2k or so, but in my explorations I also learned that there are other funding needs - such as instruments, which are kind of vital for bands!

So, this is now a general go fund me for the CCHS marching band. They’re awesome, and deserve the funds and attention other organizations at the school get…and at the very least they deserve a safe platform! All money raised will be donated directly to the band.

I am not affiliated with the band at all, just a CCHS parent who saw a need and is being vocal about it!
