For Virginia State Police Lt. Jay Cullen, the end of watch came on Saturday, August 12th as he was protecting people during the protests in Charlottesville, Virginia. He leaves behind a devoted wife and two awesome boys, ages 14 and 17. Although the family will receive tuition assistance (plus books and fees, etc.) from the Commonwealth of Virginia, it doesn't cover room & board, which can be a considerable sum.
His widow Karen is a Chesterfeld County school teacher and since teachers don't make much, the friends and neighbors of the family want to help.
Funds collected here will be given directly to the family in support of the boys' future college expenses not covered by Virginia State Police or the Commonwealth.
