Cullen Griffin was killed in a car accident on October 26, 2021, in Ramona CA. The intent of this request is to help Cullen's family pay for various memorial service expenses; he leaves behind his heartbroken wife Phoebe and sons Thor (10) and Titus (9). Contributing to this fund will help honor Cullen's memory while preserving resources that Phoebe can use to focus on the continued wellbeing of their sons.
Services will be held in Santa Barbara, CA, on Monday, December 13th, 1:00 PM at the Santa Barbara Cemetery Association. You're donation will go towards:
- Travel expenses for Cullen's military friends to attend the service. Cullen was in the Navy for 20 years, including a tour of Afghanistan in 2011. Many of the people he served with have expressed a desire to come to the service and it would be great if we could offset some of their costs, including providing a short term vacation rental.
- Memorial venue costs and miscellaneous service and end of life costs.
- Any remaining funds after these direct expenses will be given to Phoebe for purposes of enhancing the boy's life experiences while we try to fill the immense gap that Cullen's passing has left behind.
Please only donate as your circumstances allow. We understand everyone's desire to help, but not contributing does not mean that he was loved and respected any less. Cullen was a humble man, with great humility, and this funding request is being made in that same spirit; but all donations will be greatly appreciated!
