The George Washington High School Culinary Program, led by Chef Stuart Beck, CCC, is excited to offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our students: a culinary exchange to Torun, Poland in the spring of 2026. This unique experience will allow ten dedicated students to immerse themselves in Polish culture, learn from local chefs, and explore the rich culinary traditions of Torun. Our students will participate in hands-on cooking classes, collaborate with culinary professionals, and visit national and historical landmarks, all while representing our school on an international stage.
This exchange is about more than just food—it's about building cultural understanding and fostering connections that will last a lifetime. By engaging with the local community, our students will gain new culinary skills, broaden their perspectives, and bring back valuable knowledge to share with their peers. The funds raised will help cover essential expenses such as travel, lodging, and program fees, ensuring that every student selected can participate regardless of financial background.
We believe this journey will inspire our students to grow as chefs and as global citizens. Your support will help make this transformative experience possible for the next generation of culinary leaders at George Washington High School and abroad.
