Family, Friends, Supporters, and animal lovers,
This is the 2nd most difficult post I will have to make.
I took Cuki to the vet July 12th, 2023 to address a couple of concerns.
They found Lymphoma.
Cancer.
The vet said Cuki had a few weeks to months left.
My world fell apart.
I consulted with several vets and medical professionals, ran exams and lab tests, weighed our options….
We have decided to fight.
Cuki will tell me she’s too tired.
She is still the happiest girl, full of energy, life and love.
We’re going to fight this, together.
She is otherwise healthy, strong, and vibrant.
Because she's worth it.
She’s worth everything to me, and has much love left to give the world.
Our first chemotherapy treatment is August 1st, 2023. Afternoon.
We have health insurance that will cover the bulk of the treatment.
However, there are additional costs, such as:
- Grocery store chicken breasts (her gut is not cooperating well at the moment, and she’s needing a bland diet),
- Time off work for treatments,
- Gas to take her to/from her appts,
- Prescriptions,
- Weekly swim therapy appointments!
- Whatever at the vet that isn’t covered… (still working out those details.)
I'll be spending a lot more money out of pocket, than what I'll be collecting.
Cuki’s sweet face has brought happiness to many people.
Are you one of them?
Please consider donating a few dollars to Cuki.
Please also consider sharing this post.
Those of you who personally know her, know how freaking amazing she is!
She’s been my biggest supporter and best friend for the last 14 years.
She’s always been there for me - and now, with your help, I’ve got her.
Cuki
When I needed a friend, you came into my life.
Through countless moves, living in multiple states, traveling to Europe, new relationships, and surviving heartbreak.
Your love has never faltered.
You’ve always been there.
You’ve always been the one.
