I am Angela Donahue.  My beloved cousin, Cory Joshua Ivy (32 yrs. old) tried to break free of his demons but lost his battle with addiction. Cory was pronounced brain dead, March 15, 2020.  He was a loving fathr, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.  His mother,  Denise, has only one request and that is to ensure Cory receives a proper burial.
Cory's children were his EVERYTHING and loved each of them dearly: Quavin (12), Janaya (10), Eja (7), Kyer (5), and Cassius (2). Cory was the devoted and loving brother to, Nicholas, Courtney, Sidney, Jordan, and Alyssa.
On March 19, 2020, on what would have been Cory's great grandmother's 99th birthday(RIP), Cory donated his organs. In honor of his donation, Meriter Hospital raised the Donate Life Flag. Cory donated his heart, kidney, pancreas, and liver to individuals that disparately needed them to survive. This truly shows Cory's heart, as his honorable and loving gesture ultimately saved many other's lives!
As we mourn the loss of Cory, we are also being challenged with trying to pay for his funeral services. Cory's mother's sole wish is to have a proper farewell for her son. In order for us to do this, we need your help. Cory did not have life insurance and the cost for a basic service is $6000.
If you can find it in your heart to help it will be greatly appreciated. Cory was a child of God and was a wonderful father to his children, and always had his siblings as well as his friend's backs and was a best friend to all!
Your donation is greatly appreciated and we thank you for your generosity during this difficult time.
Thank you,
Family of Cory Ivy
