From July 2- July 9, 16 volunteer members from UNECOM's Global Health Club will be traveling to Nicaragua with an organization called The Power of a Nickel.
Each year this organization mobilizes medical students to help bring medical care to those who need it most around the world in under-resourced communities. On this upcoming brigade, we will be working hand-in-hand with licensed physicians, medical students, and other healthcare providers to provide quality healthcare to underserved and medically needy persons in Chacraseca, Nicaragua. We will also be providing healthcare education to support their continued health improvement.
