Minibus Funding Appeal

As Group Scout Leader I am pleased to present this GoFundMe page as a central point for capturing sponsor monies and online donations for the 1st Cuffley Scout Group Minibus Appeal. 

Through operating and managing a Minibus for the exclusive use of our members we afford our section leaders an extra dimension to the scope of the meetings and activities they may plan and deliver. Additionally, as we emerge from the COVID lockdowns this transport will greatly increase the background support we can offer our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers to get them out and about to achieve an amazing array of badges, awards, challenges and skills for life.

Our current vehicle, a 15-year-old LDV Convoy is roadworthy, but is proving to be increasingly impractical to use as its exhaust emissions prevent us driving it on many roads within greater and outer London and its capacity and weight place a restrictive limit on our pool of licensed drivers. It also leaks when it rains and lacks basic comfort features such as an effective warm and cool airflow system.

Information about 1st Cuffley Scout Group

We offer active and innovative Scouting to girls and boys from age six to eighteen as members of the UK Scout Association. At our meetings we follow established programmes that encourage them to do their best, have fun, make friends, learn new life skills, push boundaries and achieve things they may never have dreamed of. This supports the association's Skills For Life strategy which aims to bring communities together and contribute towards a better society.
