This first fundraising goal will go towards the creation of a short film, which will allow us to gain further traction and help us get the full-length feature made. We're veterans, wanting to work with other veterans, to tell an inspirational story about a veteran's love for his brothers.

Our secondary goal is to help bridge the gap between veterans and civilians, and help people understand the honor and sacrifices of those who serve(d).

CUDGEL is an inspirational journey of a common man with an uncommon desire to succeed based on a true story of Sammy Lee Davis. It’s an American war-drama biopic, set in the late 1960’s, exploring the themes of courage, love, and hope in a coming-of-age story. We follow the fortitude of one man during the darkest of times, at war, where he learns that love can be found in the most unexpected places…on the battlefield. The greatest display of love is when one lays down his own life for another…this is where we witness heroic actions beyond the human will.

Water scenes require specialized safety teams, stunt coordination, permits, and professional equipment. Working with experienced actors ensures this story is told with the respect and cinematic power it deserves.
