Cuddlecot in memory of Scarlett

Hi my name is Jenny,

I am raising funds to donate a cuddlecot to the charity 4louis in memory of my daughter Scarlett.

Scarlett sadly passed away suddenly 3 days before Christmas. On the day that she died the hospital offered us the option of using the cuddlecot. This is a special cooling system which allowed her to remain in a cooled cot which slowed down how quickly she would start to change. It meant we were able to go home for a few hours to somewhat process what had happened, before returning to say our final goodbye.

This was one thing that was some form of comfort in terrible circumstances. I would hate to think of other families who don’t get that option because of lack of funds available to pay for these things so I am starting a fundraiser in Scarlett’s name to raise £1750 to donate to the 4louis charity which can then gift a cuddle cot to a hospital. They also provide boxes to hospital, one of which we received after her death which again contained things you don’t have the capacity to think about. Her footprints and hand print casts, forget me not seeds to plant, special candles among other beautiful things.
