Losing a child is the worst pain imaginable. I know because in May 2016 we lost our beautiful daughter Nadelyn when I was 34 weeks pregnant. We found out on a Saturday night and I gave birth to her on Sunday. She was absolutely beautiful. While the hospital did everything they could to give us as much time as we wanted with her, her little body started breaking down. It was painful to see her skin change color and fluid leak from her nose and mouth. We had to send her back to the morgue several times, breaking up the few precious hours we had with her. It hurt knowing she was being sent back to a morgue where she would be all alone instead of with her parents who loved her and missed her so much already. After we returned home from the hospital, we started researching ways that we could help other families have a little more time with their precious babies when the unimaginable happens. That is when we discovered CuddleCots. A CuddleCot is a cooling device that a baby can stay in for up to three days, allowing grieving parents and family members a little more time to create memories. The cost of one of these cots is about $3000. We would like to donate one of these cots to Banner Thunderbird hospital where we had Nadelyn. Any money raised over the $3000 would go directly toward purchasing another cot for another hospital.
