CudaBear's Lair Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed of having an animal rescue. I have grown up with animals and wanted my kids to have that experience as well. And By some miracle, I met someone who shared that very same passion.
In 2015, we rented a home with 5 acres and it wasn't long before we rescued our first set of animals. We took in two goats named Frank and Billy.
Frank & Billy were left on an abandoned farm for months without food, water, and no one to care for them. A friend of ours was a neighbor to this farm and informed us of the animals knowing that we had space for them and my husband went and picked them up.
We still have them. Despite how much of a pain in the butt they can be, they will always have a forever home with us.
These are just two of the several animals that we have rescued. Currently, we have 25 animals, various species on our property. Since 2017, we have now bought our own house with 5 acres with plans to expand in the future.
When we moved onto this property, they did not have any fencing and never had any animals. Since we have been here, we have put up fencing and built several shelters for the animals.
Our Mission is to give Farm Animals in need of homes, a forever home they can live out there days; with peace, serenity & lots of love!
We started this because we love animals & hope to help as many as we can; For the last 4 years, my husband and I have been supporting this passion on our own, with no outside funding.
Recently, I have decided to turn our venture into a non-profit animal sanctuary so that we can not only help several more animals but turn our dream mini-rescue into reality.
Currently, we are looking to raise funds for Fencing, SOD, and More Horse Shelters/ Stalls. Though my husband has put up a lot of fencing and built several shelters we are still in need of more. This way we are able to bring in more animals and have more fenced in areas to rotate the animals and allow grass to grow. Our property has some grass but it is also very sandy soil and bringing in fill dirt, fertilizing and grass seed has been a challenge. But what's a dream come true without some hard work behind it!
We welcome you to be a part of this venture, help us save some animals and give those furbabies their forever homes.
Stay Tuned as I will continue to give updates & Feel free to check out our non-profit status on Sunbiz.org.
