Nura Rose Sala
Donation protected
Dear beloved family and friends,
I am sorry to share that our dear sweet sister and my cousin Nura Clara Rose Sala left this world last week unexpectedly at her apartment in NYC. Nura was a poet, artist, musician, performer, and spiritual light for many seeking her astrological wisdom. She worked with veterans teaching poetry and creative writing and was deeply loved by many. Unfortunately she had been suffering from many tribulations with her health, mental well-being, finances, and her ability to care for herself was declining.
We will deeply miss her shining face and pray she finds ultimate peace and grace and freedom as she goes home to her Beloved.
I am writing to ask for support to cover the costs for in preparing the deceased for the final world in the most holy and sacred way possible. The amount needed is up to $4,500.
It is hoped that her body can be washed and shrounded in the Sufi way in a mosque or funeral parlor with accompanying informal muslim prayer service held in NYC very soon. My understanding is that Nura requested to be cremated and that this is the most likely route her brothers will follow out of respect for her wishes. There will be a memorial service at the Becket church in the Berkshires this Saturday.
These funds will be used towards the Sufi prayer service and washing of the body. Whatever remains will go towards making a donation to the poor in Jerusalem on her behalf.
We will keep you informed of any other funeral or prayer service details as they actualize. Shaykh Sidi Al Jamal's translator, Amany Shalaby, blessings be upon them both, has offered to host a teleconference to recite special Sufi prayers for Nura within the next day.
Please continue to hold Nura and her immediate family in your prayers. They are so very much appreciated and comforting to know how much Nura was loved.
May we all continue to stay rightly Guided and be granted forgiveness and clemency for where we've strayed or been in error.
May you all be deeply blessed by your giving,
with love,
