Cubby Bed for Hudson

We are the Veck family! Hudson our son is 4 years old who is Autistic and has more severe autism. He still doesn’t understand basic dangers. Middle of the night he tries to go out the front door, turn on the bathtub, sinks and elopes. He is considered non verbal so it’s hard for him to understand it’s not safe to leave Mommy and Daddy. We have gone through endless safely locks, cameras and different beds for him. The cubby bed was made for kids like Hudson. It’s a bed he can have all the way up to adulthood. The cubby bed has a built in camera where he can’t get ahold of any cords. We can keep an eye on him. We are currently in the process of looking into if Hudson has seizures in his sleep. There have been times he was woken up confused, out of it and with a bloody lip. It can be common in autism. The cubby bed would keep him safe at night where he can’t escape middle of that night and be able to see him on the camera to rule out any seizures. Unfortunately with Autism and special needs in general has high medical costs. Being able to help us achieve getting the cubby bed we would be forever grateful. We love Hudson so much and our biggest fear is his safety. He is obsessed with water and constantly gravitates towards water. We had issues living in Florida where he constantly would run and find ponds to try to go in. The scary reality is drowning is also the number one cause of death for children of all ages with autism. Kids with autism face a higher risk of drowning due to the behavior known as "elopement" or a tendency to wander off. We don’t get much sleep because we are on constant alert with Hudson through out the night. We are forever thankful for the support you show our family and helping keep Hudson safe.
