We lost our mom today she went peacefully at 3:04 this afternoon. This update is to be able to continue to pay her bills at her house so we can find comfort there

My name is Ashley and I am trying to raise money for my mom to be able to pay her bills up to date. She is 70 years old and in a limited income. After her 2 life threatening surgeries and a long recover ahead of her I would like to be able to pay her bills up so that she can focus on getting better and not stressed on how she is going to be able to pay her bills.

17 days ago she was brought to the hospital by ambulance thinking that her gallbladder had ruptured. After they did the CT they realized that she had a preforated colon and a few holes in her intestines from undiagnosed diverticulitis. Her stomach was full of air and bowel secretions. They took her back for emergency surgery and thought they removed everything. She has severe sepsis from the bowels spilling out. 2 days after the surgery she retained about 50 lbs of fluid and started declining really fast. We had to make the choice to put her on a ventilator and dialysis for support. That was 15 days ago. She has since then went through another emergency surgery to remove more of infection and her gallbladder. She is fighting everyday and continues to slowly improve. Hopefully the doctors will be able to get her off of the ventilator soon.

Anything that is donated will be used to pay up her bills to date so that she doesn’t have to worry about them while she continues to get better
