Need for heart transplant

Hello, my name is Vickie Mills, and I am Heather Green's sister.

I am creating this GoFundMe in hopes that our friends, family, and our community can offer her some financial assistance, so that she can have an LVAD Surgery. This surgery is her only option, until a heart comes available through the death of someone else's loved one (Donation). I tell everyone I see, that I have two of everything, but not two hearts or two Heather's.

I'd like to give a little insight on Heather's medical journey...

Heather was born with a heart murmur, and other heart issues.

At the age of 5, they gave her a mitral valve replacement. From that age on Heather's health has been in a downhill spiral. She has suffered Heart attacks, Congestive heart failure , anemia, strokes, and diabetes. Along the way doctors have performed chronic cardiomegaly tee procedure, repaired a leaking valve , has had a pacemaker and defibrillator installed. Each time something occurs, her heart function ( LVEF Levels) decreases. As of last month, she was told that her heart is only working at 15%.

At this time doctors have started to prepare her for a heart transplant , but with her declining health, the LVAD surgery is her only hope until a heart becomes available.

Heather is not one to look for a handout, and neither am I, but after seeing what her portion of cost will be for the surgery, caretakers for after surgery, medications, missing work for family members who plan to care for her when no ones available, tolls, hospital stays and fuel. I just can't do it alone. I need an army, I need my community's help.

Any leftover donations will be given to to another LVAD surgery person in need.
