I never imagined I would write something like this.

For years, millions of people have followed Nelly, Gilbert and Nala. Today, I'm asking for your support to help keep our little family together.

After many years together, my partner and I have sadly separated. I now have the opportunity to keep the cats in the only home they've ever known, but I can't do it alone. This fundraiser is one part of making that possible.

The hardest part for me is knowing everything could change for the cats.

They’ve built their lives in this home. It’s where they’ve grown up, played, felt safe, and where millions of you have watched them become the little family we all love.

My biggest wish is to keep them here, in the only home they've ever known. This means even more because of Gilbert's heart condition. As many of you know, he lives with HCM, and while I can't change his diagnosis, I can do everything I can to give him the stability, routine and low-stress environment he deserves. Keeping him together with Nelly and Nala, in the home where he feels safe, means everything to me.

As a medical student, taking over our home on my own is an enormous financial challenge. This fundraiser isn't intended to cover the full cost of buying out my former partner. Instead, it will help strengthen my financial position and hopefully make it possible for the bank to approve the financing I need to keep the cats in the only home they've ever known.

I’m working hard to make that happen. I’m speaking with the bank, exploring every possible option, and doing everything I can myself. But many of you have reached out asking if there is any way you can help.

After a lot of thought, I decided to create this fundraiser.

Every donation will bring us one step closer to keeping the cats in the home they know and love.
